Rise Against Hunger Meal Packing Event

Because LCOC suffered a fire during Holy Week that closed our fellowship hall, St. Matthew's has graciously offered their fellowship hall to hold this event.

Saturday, November 7, 2026

8:30 am - set up (individuals who can carry up to 50 pounds needed)

10 am - meal packing

~12:30 p.m.- clean up 

St. Matthew's Lutheran Church 

12351 All Saints Pl, Woodbridge, VA 22192

*There will be roles for all ability levels: seated jobs like sealing and placing stickers, as well as standing jobs or carrying heavy bags of food into the church. 

*Refreshments will be provided

OUR GOAL

Packing 20,000 meals that will be sent to hungry people around the world. (In 2024, the 20,000 meals we packed went to the Philippines. In 2025, the 20,000 meals we packed when to Timor-Leste off the coast of Australia).It takes at least 60 volunteers to achieve this goal, and it costs $8,400.
